Why does the sou device work 1. Main technical characteristics
- Simple and reliable design
- Small weight and dimensions
- Relay outputs for controlling actuators
- Easy installation and maintenance
- Low cost
Signaling device SOU-1 designed to measure the content of carbon monoxide CO in boiler rooms and other rooms in which carbon monoxide accumulation is possible. When threshold values of mass concentration are exceeded, it generates sound and light alarms and sends control signals to actuators.
The scope of application of the alarm is in boiler rooms of various capacities, closed parking lots and garages, as well as in non-explosive areas of other industrial, administrative, public and residential premises in which accumulation of carbon monoxide is possible.
Structurally, the SOU-1 signaling devices are single-block, in a plastic case. On the front panel of the alarms there is a green "ON" indicator, a red "GAS" indicator, and a yellow color"FAILURE" light, "RESET" button for disabling the actuators. Under the front panel of the alarms there is a protective cover sealed with the manufacturer’s warranty sticker, green indicators K1 and K2, buttons for calibrating the alarm, groups of terminal contacts - “23 0V, 50 Hz”, “EXTERNAL EMERGENCY”, “THRESHOLD1-CO”, “THRESHOLD2-CO” and “CONTROL”.
The operating position of the alarm is vertical; a bracket is included in the delivery set for wall mounting. It is secured with two screws located on the rear panel of the device.
Peculiarities
- Modern design of the alarm housing;
- The presence of “dry” relay contacts with increased load capacity, allowing you to turn on (turn off) ventilation, siren and other actuators;
- The presence of an external “emergency” input, which allows you to connect the devices in a loop together with STG-1 and SGG-6M gas alarms or connect them to a fire or security alarm system;
- The presence of a “test” button, which allows you to check the functionality of the device and shut-off valves without using gas mixtures;
- Possibility of connection to the DISP dispatch panel or similar devices;
- Connection using terminal connections;
- The ability to independently set operating modes after turning on the device;
- Automatic zero calibration when turned on or every 14 days.

Operating modes
Alarm type | Indication | State |
---|---|---|
The SOU-1 signaling device is turned on | The green indicator is on | Voltage is applied to the SOU-1 signaling device, the signaling device is working |
Precautionary | The red indicator flashes at a frequency of 0.5 - 1 Hz | The CO concentration has reached the value THRESHOLD 1. The relay contacts "Threshold 1 CO" are activated |
Emergency | The red indicator flashes at a frequency of 5 - 6 Hz and an audible alarm | The CO concentration has reached the THRESHOLD 2 value. The "CO Threshold 2" relay contacts are activated. Locking state, turns off when the CO concentration decreases and after pressing the "Reset" button |
Refusal | The yellow indicator is on | The measuring system is faulty or the electrical sensor is faulty. |
External fault | Double flash of the red indicator with an interval of 5s and sound alarm | Occurs when an "EMERGENCY" signal is received. The relay contacts "Threshold 1 CO" and "Threshold 2 CO" switch to a position similar to the activated warning and alarm. |
