How to make jellied pie with kefir

The set of products is really very simple, and all the necessary ingredients can be found in any refrigerator.

However, there is a little trick: we need to set the kefir in advance warm place until it warms up to room temperature. If this is not possible, warm it up slightly in the microwave.

  • Add sugar and soda to warm kefir. Mix everything thoroughly and leave in a warm place for half an hour. During this time, the soda will react with kefir and noticeable bubbles will appear on the surface of the liquid.
  • Add eggs and mix everything thoroughly. To do this, you can use a mixer with a dough attachment, a whisk, or even a regular fork.
  • Stir in vegetable oil; it will add even more airiness to the finished cake. But if we want to get a dietary option, then this step can be skipped.
  • Add salt, now carefully, in small portions, add flour. It may be required in different quantities, depending on the density of kefir, the type of flour itself and even the size of the eggs, so let’s look at the dough.

As a result, you should get a mass with a consistency reminiscent of low-fat sour cream.

  • Mix everything thoroughly again (there should be no lumps left).
  • The pie is almost ready - the simplest thing remains: preheat the oven to 180 degrees, and while the oven is warming up, prepare the mold and filling if we are going to add it.
  • Grease the mold with oil, not forgetting the sides. If we use a detachable one, then just in case it is better to cover it with baking paper: the dough is quite liquid and can leak during the cooking process.
  • When everything is ready, pour the dough into the mold. If we have a filling, then first we use half of the dough, then lay out a layer of filling and cover everything on top with the rest of the dough.

  • Place in the oven for 30-40 minutes until golden brown. All ovens are different, so be sure to check the readiness with a match or wooden toothpick. To do this, you need to stick it into the dough and then pull it out: if it is not sticky, then the kefir jellied pie is ready.

We take the baked goods out of the oven and let them cool slightly, then remove them from the pan and serve them. Kefir jellied pie is very tasty, both cold and hot, so don’t worry if some of the treat is left over on the second day.

  1. Choose your favorite kefir for cooking, then the pie will turn out tastier. For those watching calories, low-fat is more suitable, but in this case the dough may not turn out so fluffy.

Lovers of airy baked goods will like the classic fat content, especially if the most natural product was used. And for lovers of new products and expressive creamy taste You might like kefir made from baked milk.

2. For a kefir jellied pie, the filling can be absolutely anything, the main thing is to first bring it to half-cookedness. So, one of the most popular options are those with cabbage, eggs, herbs, minced meat, but no one limits your imagination.

We also recommend trying to make pies with fish (boiled fish or even canned fish in its own juice will do), potatoes (a hearty “men’s” lunch), lightly fried mushrooms and onions, or even apples sprinkled with cinnamon. But do not make the filling too liquid, otherwise it will seem that the pie was left unbaked.

3. Choose a form for the pie. It is best to take one that is not too large in diameter, so the pie will turn out taller and look more festive.

That's all the secrets of a successful kefir jellied pie. Use them, wisely complementing the recipe, and then your baked goods will turn out perfectly beautiful and tasty.

Bulk pie with liver and oyster mushrooms

Ingredients:

  • Kefir – 2 glasses.
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Flour – 200 grams.
  • Salt - 2 chips.
  • Mayonnaise – 5 tbsp. l.
  • Chicken liver – 0.6 kg.
  • Fresh oyster mushrooms – 0.7 kg.
  • Onions – 1 pc.

Before the main process of baking the pie, it is important to prepare the filling so that it has time to cool. Wash the oyster mushrooms and pour boiling water over them until they are soft. Cut into thin slices and throw into the pan along with the chopped onion. Fry until the mushrooms have completely released their liquid and are slightly browned.

When ready, place them on a separate plate. We wash the liver, clean it of veins, cut it into strips, and simmer for 20 minutes. Just like mushrooms, the liver should evaporate moisture and fry. At the end of cooking, combine oyster mushrooms and liver in a frying pan. Simmer together for 5-10 minutes. We complete the process with mayonnaise: it needs to be added to the total mass, mixed, and let simmer for another couple of minutes.

Leave the finished filling to cool and prepare the dough. In a saucepan, mix kefir, flour, eggs, salt until you get a dough. It should not be too liquid, but of medium thickness.

Heat a baking tray with high sides a little in the oven, sprinkle with flour. Pour ½ of the dough into the bottom, and distribute the mushroom and liver filling on top. The third layer will be the rest of the dough, which should cover the filling completely.
We bake the cake for 25-30 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees. If desired, decorate the finished baked goods with basil leaves or other favorite herbs.
