Treasure maps in Kingdom Come: Deliverance - how to find chests of gold. Ancient Treasure Map IV

Types of Kingdom Come Deliverance Treasure Maps

The type of treasure depends on how you obtained the game itself. If you pre-ordered, then in the first five (by numbers) you can find pieces of armor. If the pre-order was not completed, then the cards will be all yours and the treasures too, but there will be no armor.

The first cards will appear in your inventory after the prologue, when the hero wakes up with Teresa in the mill of the city of Rattay. This is “two hours” after the start of the game, although of course more 😉)

Other cards can be purchased from random traders and merchants, found in cabinets and chests, or even stolen. There are many variations, especially since some cards have the same number in the name, but the images are different (pre-order and regular).

To find out where the map leads, unfold it and see a schematic drawing. We will also navigate by it.

All treasure maps and their variants Kingdom Come Deliverance Part 1

Treasure Map 1

The treasure is located to the west (almost) of the Monastery. From there, go northwest to the field where there is a camp (it is visible on the map). From the camp, go northwest into the forest, and you will find a Cave (it's more like two ruined houses). You need the house on the left (west side). Go down the stairs and there will be a chest inside.

Treasure Map 2

The treasure will be found on the coast of a nearby river. Exit the monastery through the western gate and move west towards the camp near the river. From the camp, go north and you will see a dry (dead) tree. There is a grave nearby.

You can find the map in the Monastery, in the library. On its northern side there are stacks of books, and the map will be among them.

The map is at the mill, northwest of Užice, under the rafters.

Treasure chests were buried not only by pirates of the Caribbean, but also by the inhabitants of the Middle Ages; Apparently in 1403 people did not trust banks even more than they do now (or they simply could not place their money and jewelry in them, since banks in the traditional sense of the word did not yet exist). In order not to forget where they hid their goods, they naturally drew maps. Therefore, there is nothing unusual in the fact that Kingdom Come: Deliverance lets you look for treasure like a real pirate with a shovel at the ready.

The cards themselves are not difficult to find: some of them are sold by merchants in cities and villages, others lie in secluded corners of houses, and others are even obtained from the corpses of enemies. But with the search for treasures, difficulties may arise, since it is not always possible to understand from the map exactly where the treasures are located. For this reason, we decided to write a detailed guide to finding them.

Preparing for a Treasure Hunt

The first step is to prepare for finding buried treasure. Unfortunately, you will not be allowed to use a metal detector. Instead, you will need the following tools:

  • Shovel - just keep with you the one you receive almost at the very beginning of the game when completing the “Returning Home” task. If you lost it, you can simply buy a new one from the blacksmith.
  • Master keys – you will need them to open dug chests. They buy from merchants or blacksmiths.

If you plan to solve treasure maps yourself, here are a couple of tips:

  • Some objects don't scale on paper, so a river might look small on a treasure map but be very large in the real world.
  • The image on the map may be upside down or mirrored, so always check that it has a clue in the form of the correct direction.

Note: In most cases, it is not necessary to have a map with you to find the treasure.

Where to Find Ancient Treasure Maps from the Treasures of the Past Pre-Order Bonus

In addition to the usual treasure maps, the game contains ancient maps that are part of the Treasures of the Past expansion and are given only to those players who pre-order this RPG. However, you will not receive them immediately in your inventory.

The first thing you will need to do is complete the Prologue and get to Rattay. When you wake up in Teresa’s house in the “Awakening” quest, immediately examine the chests - one of them will contain the cards you need and a good jacket.

Getting your hands on money and equipment in Kingdom Come: Deliverance turned out to be much easier than we thought. All you need to do is show a little perseverance and collect the treasures hidden throughout Bohemia. The beauty is that you don't need to have a map in your hand to dig up the treasure. It is enough to find the place itself. In this guide we will tell you exactly where to go.

Treasure Map 1 (I)

The path to this treasure will be one of the most unusual for you. You need to find an old hut in the forest northwest of the monastery. It’s better to do this during the day, because at night we walked literally two steps away and still didn’t notice her. Inside you can go down a rickety staircase to the underground.

There will be a chest waiting for you with a hacking difficulty level of Difficult. Inside you can find Augsburg plate greaves, 350 groschen, a yew longbow, an odd number dice, the book What the Keys are for III, a recipe for an antidote and dark boots of a nobleman.

On the spot, look for something that looks like a dugout. Inside there is a chest with a difficulty level of Very difficult.

We were never able to open it, but inside you can find a bascinet with a visor, 317 groschen, a long bow made of ash, an ordinary dice, a necklace, a recipe for an archer's potion, nobleman's boots and composite lord's leggings.

Treasure Map 5 (V)

This treasure can be found approximately halfway between Talmberg and Ledechko. In our opinion, it is more convenient to go from the south. Take a dry stream as a guide and move along the bed until you hit a tree trunk that has fallen across it. A couple of steps before it’s time to turn into the forest.

You need to find a dilapidated well. Inside are 270 groschen, fashionable shoes, a painted Milanese brigantine, a bad dice, a recipe for calendula tincture and the book Herbs and Roots IV.

Treasure Map 10 (X)

This treasure can be dug up from an inconspicuous grave in the forest east of Vranik. There are no noticeable landmarks nearby, you will have to rely only on the map. Treasure Map 11 (XI)

You will find the hidden items from this map southwest of Ledechko inside a small stone basement. There is something there that looks like a bag. The easiest way is to move from the city along the river, and then turn into the forest.

Treasure Map 12 (XII)

This time we have to find a wooden house with a collapsed roof in the forests southeast of Rattay. In fact, there is no point in going on this hike if you are not yet ready to pick Difficult level locks. Because just such a chest is waiting for you inside this hut. A good guide is the laundry hanging on the line. If you're ready, don't forget to stock up on lockpicks.

Treasure Map 13 (XIII)

This treasure can be found inside a serene hut just south of the charcoal burners' camp between Rattae and Neuhof. At first glance, you couldn’t tell that a tragedy had recently unfolded here. However, the corpse by the fire suggests otherwise.

You need a chest inside the house with a hacking difficulty level of Easy. There you will find 350 groschen, a dice for odd numbers, the book Nimble as a Ferret IV, a master's sword, a master's armor, a recipe for Aesop's potion and nobleman's boots.

Treasure Map 14 (XIV)

This time we will have to dig into someone else's grave again. You can find it at the intersection of two streams southeast of Neuhof. The exact location is indicated in the screenshot below. Inside you will find Aachen Decorated Leggings, 336 Groschen, a Necklace, Master's Boots, a Bad Dice, a Poison Recipe and a Decorated Cleaver.

Treasure Map 15 (XV)

While searching for this treasure, you will have a unique opportunity to get hold of a spare shovel. The desired point of interest is located near the stream west of Neuhof. Treasure Map 17 (XVII)

To find this treasure, you will have to take a shovel with you. Head northwest from the town of Samopesh. Near the river you will find a small wooden house with a grave in the backyard. Treasure Map 18 (XVIII)

You will find this treasure near Talmberg. Find the poacher's camp northeast of the city. Outwardly, it is very noticeable, since a skinned deer carcass hangs on the pieces of wood. If there is someone in the camp, you can just wait a little.

There is also a chest there that needs to be opened with a master key. Difficulty level - easy. Inside are about 200 groschen, fashionable shoes, a dogwood hunting bow, the book of Joy of the Innards IV, Owl's recipe, a lucky die and a hunter's hat.

Treasure Map 19 (XIX)

Finding this treasure will be very easy. There is a tiny island to the north of Sazava, and in the center of it is a grave.
