World of Warships test server. Test server World of Warships New British light tanks

General test

On December 3, the general test of update 1.9.2 began. With its release, a new branch of US multirole fighters will appear in the game. These vehicles differ from similar models of other nations in their excellent speed characteristics, high survivability and powerful strike weapons. The branch included aircraft reflecting the development of US front-line aviation from the beginning of World War II to the 1950s and the Korean War.

Also in the update, a lot of work has been done on the balance of aircraft and weapons, the behavior of bots has been improved, the interface of the Hangar and the training room has been modified.

As usual, the test server has special rules for accruing experience, gold, and credits, which will allow all participants in the public test to fill their hangars with fully researched aircraft and fly them to the fullest.

Achievements on the test server will not be transferred to the main server. Payments for test server are not produced.
For the duration of the public test, the limit on the number of aircraft sold per day was disabled and a limit was introduced on the maximum number of bots in training rooms.

Rules for accruing experience, gold and credits on the test server

The following multipliers apply to earned credits and combat experience:

Combat missions for the general test
General test rules:
  • All players who registered in World of Warplanes or World of Tanks before November 13, 2015 and logged into any of these games at least once prior to that date.
  • If you had a premium account active on November 13, it will not be transferred to the Public Test server, and you will need to buy a separate premium using in-game gold earned during the Public Test.
  • The same amount of gold that was on the main game account on November 13 will be credited to the account in the public test.
  • If the user changed their password after November 13, 2015, authorization on the test server will only be available with the password that was used before November 13.
To become a test participant, you must:
  • Download a special installer.
  • Run this installer, which will download and install a test version of the client (SD version - 4.95 GB; HD version - 6.95 GB). When you run the installer, it will automatically offer to install the test client in a separate folder on your computer, or you can specify the installation folder yourself.
  • Run the installed test version.

You cannot install the Common Test client on Common Test version 1.9.0. The public test client 1.9.0 must be uninstalled, after which you need to download and install a special installer that will download the public test client to a separate folder.

The User Support Center does not review applications related to the Common Test. Report about technical problems that you encountered on the general test, you can use .

Update 9.20.1 is approaching its official release, and we are starting a new series of public tests. Participate in testing and evaluate changes that developers have been working on in Lately. Here is what will be available on the public test server:

  • Rebalance of Tier X light tanks, as well as British and US vehicles.
  • Reworked personal combat missions with a new interface and mechanics that allow you to complete them faster.
  • Additional reward for high efficiency in battle - new ways to get bonds.

The changes can be found in detail in recent publications:

How to get into the general test?

Bonds and medals

Starting from 9.20.1, when winning medals in the Epic Achievements and Battle Hero categories, the player will receive additional rewards in the form of bonds. Please note: Bonds will not be credited for accumulative medals. The number of bonds is not final and may change.

Grand Battle Improvements

The following changes have been made to the General Battle battle type:

  1. The message about victory or defeat in battle has changed.
Added a new kind of battle victory or defeat message to make it easier for players to understand when and why the battle ended. The message has separate animations for win, lose and draw. Additional text shows why the fight ended. When a battle ends with the base captured, the capture progress bar goes into a "locked" state shortly before the message appears to indicate that the total will not change.
This innovation has been applied to all Random and Ranked Battles, as well as Grand Battles.
  2. Updated tooltips for rewards, which describe various conditions receipt. In a standard, oncoming battle, and assault, the conditions are the same, but in a general battle, the requirements are higher.
  3. Improved combat interface (HUD) in general battle.
The transparency of the background of the panels with the list of players has been reduced to make the information easier to read on a light background (sky, water, etc.).
Border symbols have been added to the top bar to improve readability.

Training Ground Improvements

Changes:

  • Irrelevant options have been disabled in the context menus of the vehicle upgrade windows, the research tree, and the vehicle carousel.
  • The rewards (credits and experience) for victories and defeats while passing the training ground have been balanced.
  • The rewards for completing the training ground are now displayed in the notification center.
  • Added a notification to players that they will not receive a reward when re-passing the training ground.
  • The crew recruitment window has become more informative.

Corrections:

  • Fixed a bug where some UI elements were displayed incorrectly in color blind mode.
  • Fixed errors that occurred when saving and restoring settings (vehicle panel and sights) when the player entered the training ground and exited this mode.
  • Fixed rendering of some game tips (unmasking when shooting, the need to return to the capture circle).
  • Fixed a rare issue where the "Skip Tutorial" button was displayed incorrectly.
  • The results of battles in the mode have been removed from the notification center.
  • Fixed displaying of the EULA license window when restarting the game client.
  • The description of the characteristics of vehicles in the loading screens of the training ground is now correct.
  • Fixed a bug due to which the music tracks of the battle, the Hangar and the final cinematic of the training ground were superimposed on each other.
  • Added reward descriptions to the victory screen.
  • Fixed bugs in the behavior of bots.
  • Fixed bugs in displaying map borders.

Update test servers World games of Tanks 1.5 are dedicated servers where the playability of maps, vehicle characteristics, general updates regular players wot. The test server is available only at a certain time, entry is possible only when the developers are ready to check the performance of game innovations.

Release date - updates 1.5

Download World of Tanks 1.5.1 general test

As soon as the link to download the test client 1.5 appears, it will be published right here! Tentatively, we should expect in the late afternoon after 18:00 Moscow time. The release date for client 1.5 is expected to be April 2019, as indicated in the table below.

How it works?

Consider what a test server is. In principle, this is a virtual resource where a modified copy of the game is located. The main purpose is to test and verify the capabilities of any innovations before including them in the main patch.
WG developers get access to test domains first. Then super-testers are connected to search for shortcomings and bugs. After the fix, additional testing is carried out with the maximum load of the game client.

To do this, a copy of the game is "uploaded" to a backup domain, where anyone can get. After that, the detected shortcomings are again eliminated, after which changes are made to the main game client.

How to become a member of the WoT test?

Anyone can take part in testing the game. To do this, you need to download the installer with version 1.5 After that, the installer will prompt the user to download a test game client. After the download is complete, a new WORLD of TANKS folder is created on the desktop, with a directory of graphics settings specified by the player.

Key features

There are two main rules for test takers:

  1. Participants receive: 20,000 in-game gold, 100,000,000 credits each and free experience.
  2. Experience earned on the test server, game currency and purchased equipment are not transferred to the main client.

Test target for patch 1.5.1

Players will have to test the following innovations:

  • Changes for the LBZ tank: Object 279 early;
  • Converted to HD 3 maps:
    Empire's Border
    widepark,
    Highway
  • Changes and edits on the maps: Ruinberg, Overlord, Redshire, Sandy River and Paris;

The Common Test client server has a test version of your Wargaming account, meaning that all the vehicles purchased and the research that you have completed will be the same. But don't forget these key points:

  • Though your login details are the same, your test account is still completely separate from your normal account. Achievements and research that you complete on the test client will not be carried over to your normal play account
  • Real money transactions are not possible on the test server and payments will not be accepted
  • All test accounts will receive a one-time payment of:
    • 100,000,000
    • 100,000,000
    • 20,000
  • Depending on the aims of the test, Credits and Experience rates may not be increased

The test server is subject to the same EULA and general rules as the World of Tanks game server. This means that you still need to play nice, or you will be subject to the same consequences as on the regular, "production" game servers.

Getting Started

Installing and playing in the Common Test is virtually the same as installing the "regular" World of Tanks. To participate in the test, you need to take the following steps:

  • Install the Common Test client,

  • Update World of Tanks via the launcher (total download depends on the update, but is more than 8 GB)

  • If you have already installed the common test game client, the launcher will update to the new version automatically

Be sure to install the Test launcher in a different folder from the current game client version. Also, close all game clients before installing the update.

If you previously installed the Test client and are having problems updating or starting, we recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the Test client.

Feedback

Once you have logged into the test client, you are free to play as much or as little as you want. We encourage you to try out all the new features and see what you can do!

Once you have been playing for a while, please let us know your feedback by posting in the dedicated forum threads. The appropriate links will be provided in the respective announcement. Wargaming community managers will collect feedback and report to the development team after the test period.

What makes good feedback? Here "s some examples of things you can bring up:

  • Any bugs or glitches that you have found in the game. Got stuck in the scenery? Game crashes when you do a certain action? Tell us all about it!
  • Honest feedback about vehicles and game mechanics. If you think something doesn't function well, then please tell us
  • Feedback isn't just about being negative! Anything you particularly like? Do you love the new stats for a vehicle? If the developers get a sense of what the community likes, it can allow them to focus on other improvements

Remember that the Common Test is about testing ! Every new feature is subject to change before the final release.

server cycles

In order to make the test experience more efficient, it may be necessary to limit the number of players on the test server. If the server is full when you log in, you"ll be placed into a queue.

In addition, each periphery (server) of the Common Test will be restarted regularly according to the following schedule:

  • First Periphery: Every EVEN day of the month. Average duration will be around 25 minutes
  • Second Periphery: Every ODD day of the month. Average duration will be around 25 minutes
  • Central Database: Every day. Average duration will be around 2 or 3 minutes
  • The test server may also be subject to unscheduled restarts and maintenance.

Finally, the Common Test is also updated a few times each test period to address collected feedback or add other new features. Keep an eye on the Common Test article(s) and the forum for details on new iterations!

World of Tanks test server

While playing World of Tanks, we all asked more than once about which branch of tanks to download next, which premium tank to buy, what awaits us at the tenth level of a particular development tree, and so on. Even more of these questions arise from newcomers who have just come into tanks. And of course, we all heard about the test server more than once, which will somehow help us make a choice and answer all questions about pumping and choosing equipment. So what is the World of Tanks test server, what are its advantages and how to get on it?

General information about the test server

So, first of all, you should understand that the test server always opens a few weeks before the release of the game update. This gives developers a great way to check the new version of the game for all sorts of flaws, malfunctions, bugs and much more. After all, users playing on the World of Tanks test server may encounter similar performance problems, if any, and write about it on the forum. Thus, it is possible to avoid a large number trouble when the update is launched on the main World of Tanks servers. In addition, players have the opportunity to get acquainted with a number of upcoming innovations with their own eyes, to try out new elements of the tested version.

However, the players have found another use for the test - it's an opportunity to ride various vehicles, try out premium tanks and decide on a further plan for upgrading or buying a particular vehicle.

Why is this possible? Everything is very simple, on the test server each player is credited with:
20 thousand game gold;
100 million free experience;
100 million credits.

Thanks to such generous "gifts", you can upgrade any tank you are interested in in a few minutes and go to battle in it in order to learn about its advantages and decide whether it is worth going to it on your main account.

Regarding gold, it will last for a maximum of two premium tanks of the 8th level, but more often for one, so many create several accounts on the test server in order to try out several vehicles and choose the only one that they will then buy on the "basis" and will stuff on her game currency and experience.

But remember, anything you purchase on the test server will never be transferred to your main account, it's just a way to try out the upcoming update, decide on future goals, get an idea about a certain type of technology, or dispel your misconceptions.

How to download and install a client to play on the World of Tanks test server

First of all, you need to wait until Wargaming starts working on the update. To do this, you just need to go to the official World of Tanks website and view the news feed several times a day. As soon as the test client opens, the developers will definitely notify the players about this event on the main page of the site, and you will be able to download the client to play the World of Tanks general test. This news looks like the screenshot below.
