With only three beaches, Sharjah is a relatively small emirate with only 16 km of coastline. All beaches in it are public, i.e. open for free access. In my article, I described them in detail.

Accordingly, there are no paid beaches in Sharjah at all. But many tourists consider private beaches belonging to closed clubs or some hotels to be paid.

Only locals who have a membership card, or foreign guests at the invitation of a member of such a club, can get into closed clubs. But in a hotel with a private beach, anyone who has paid for a vacation can get into it. Here is a list of all the hotels in Sharjah with their own beach, which I have broken down by star rating:

In my opinion, first you need to decide on the format of the rest - or is it a quiet beach holiday in seclusion and remoteness, or an eventful holiday with shopping and walks in the center of Sharjah. In the list above, I specifically indicated on which beach each of the hotels is located.

I did this so that I could decide on which Sharjah beach to settle:

• Al Khan- the most touristic beach close to the city center and most of its sights, which can be reached on foot, the bus station is also relatively close, from where buses to Dubai run until late at night;
• Al Cornish– a quieter beach, even wild in places, with a small amount of infrastructure nearby, you can get here on foot from the center of Sharjah in 20-25 minutes, or by taxi in less than 10 minutes;
• Al Muntazah- the most remote beach on the border with the emirate of Ajman, it will be long and hot on foot to the center of Sharjah, you can get by taxi, but you don’t always roll back and forth, they go to hotels on this beach for a secluded vacation.

The second important criterion is, of course, the cost of staying at the hotel. I also indicated the price of the room for one night in the list above.

I want to note that this is a rather subjective rating of hotels in Sharjah with a private beach, because I do not like to rest too far from civilization, and also I do not have too high requirements for rooms. The main thing is to be quiet, comfortable and clean. But for me, the priority is the cost of the room per night and various additional services such as free Wi-Fi and a transfer to Dubai.

Choosing hotels in Sharjah with a beach on the first line is good for several reasons. Firstly, they are usually less crowded. Secondly, there are no strangers on them, except for the tourists themselves and the attendants. Thirdly, free sunbeds, umbrellas and towels are always available on the beaches. And most importantly, private beaches are carefully cleaned, because. hotels take good care of their cleanliness and their reputation.

Sharjah is the third largest emirate, located literally right next to Dubai and offering a great holiday for tourists at a more reasonable price. Think for yourself: Dubai is a busy city, where most of the hotels are located far from the beaches (famous 5 * hotels of the Jumeirah chain are not taken into account) and practically do not have their own territory (where, for example, you can walk with your child).

In this regard, you can find a more familiar beach holiday: many hotels were built about 30 years ago, when the coastline was not yet so densely built up, and are still functioning. Thus, you will get a budget vacation on the shores of the beautiful Persian Gulf, and you can get to the main attractions of Dubai or Sharjah itself in 10-20 minutes by transfer, which is organized by literally every hotel.

The Sharjah Carlton Hotel is located on the very edge of Sharjah's coastline, 5 kilometers from the city centre. This is a hotel with history: it was built in 1972, when there were no tall skyscrapers in the surroundings. Judging by the interiors, nothing has changed much since then - everything is quite old-fashioned and very simple. It offers 1 restaurant (with rather meager food), a cafe on the beach, the main (heated in winter) and children's pools and a fairly modest area. Rooms are located both in the main building and in two-story bungalows (room type Chalet). We recommend taking the standard rooms in the main building, they look a bit newer. The hotel has a shuttle service to Dubai and Sharjah city centre.

The Sharjah Grand Hotel also looks rather old-fashioned, but in the winter of 2014, the hotel completed a grandiose construction project, which was supposed to significantly update its appearance. The territory of the hotel is quite compact, but cozy: it even fits 1 water slide (which is more suitable for teenagers than adults). It offers 3 restaurants with a pleasant and varied cuisine. As elsewhere, the hotel regularly runs a shuttle service to Dubai, but remember that it must be booked in advance. As for the rooms, our main recommendation is to take with a sea view, because it's just nice.

Despite its 3 stars, the Beach Hotel Sharjah can compete with its predecessors: everything here is modest, but decent. In the only restaurant, the food is moderately delicious, the rooms are not new, but everything works properly (although the ventilation is noisy), the territory is small, but most of it is occupied by the pool, the children's pool is covered with an awning, and the staff is often even more friendly than in hotels above. The center of Sharjah is also far from here, so the hotel organizes a free transfer for its guests (including to Dubai), there are enough places for everyone.

Lou'Lou A Beach Resort is located between two free city beaches and is therefore fenced off from them. This creates discomfort for guests who feel more like a children's camp than a vacation. The territory of the hotel itself is spacious, some rooms overlook the sea, others have views of the city. We do not recommend dealing with the second ones: some of these rooms do not have balconies, and it is always noisy outside the window. The food is standard, without frills and a large assortment, so we recommend that food lovers take only breakfast and go for dinner and lunch in cafes in the vicinity. The main problem is the hotel's beach, it is good for everyone, except for the presence of umbrellas: they are clearly not enough for all guests, so they are occupied almost at 6 in the morning.

The Royal Beach Resort welcomes you with classic interiors and a 5-star sign, but despite its sheen, the hotel isn't all that perfect. The rooms need cosmetic repairs (take only those with a sea view, the surroundings there are not picturesque and noisy), there is no territory as such, and the pool is located in a small nook. Transfers to Dubai must be booked in advance. As for food, the food here is tasty, but not varied.

Once upon a time, the owners of the Golden Beach Motel had a smart idea: to make an apart-hotel with a fully equipped kitchen and utensils. There is a minimum of additional services, but at your disposal there will be a large golden beach (the name doesn’t lie!) And modest rooms with everything you need so as not to depend on hotel food and plan your vacation. In fact, the idea turned out to be not so rosy: there are no stoves in the kitchens, which is why the range of dishes for cooking immediately narrows (and the food in the restaurant is not the best), and the hotel has no territory as such, only a lonely beach and a small pool.

Moving on to the giants of the industry: Radisson Blu Sharjah is located near the port of Sharjah. This is a modern hotel with established standards of service, decent food, modern rooms. The territory of the hotel also deserves special attention: despite its compactness, spacious swimming pools, green trees and flowers, playgrounds fit perfectly here. The hotel's beach, by the way, is protected from waves and has a comfortable gentle entry into the water. But do not forget about the disadvantages: there is a shipyard not far from the hotel, which is why the landscapes to the left of it are not the most picturesque, and the whole area as a whole is not the busiest in Sharjah, so young people will be bored here.

Perhaps we are ready to call this hotel our favorite on the first coastline of Sharjah, with an excellent combination of price and quality. It has a large green area (there is even a trampoline here!), a pleasant area by the pool, a comfortable beach with umbrellas (which will be enough for everyone). The food, however, is average, but you won’t leave hungry for sure. Now accommodation at the hotel is offered at a very reasonable price, but it needs cosmetic repairs, but the rest of the success factors for a good holiday are quite well represented.

Sharjah occupies an honorable second place where tourists go to rest, after the emirate of Dubai. Here are more affordable prices for hotels, which are located both on the first coastline and on the second. Such a pricing policy is also connected with the fact that in Sharjah - prohibition. Drinking alcoholic beverages by tourists is possible only in their own room and only. Even inside the hotel, you will not see any alcohol in the bar. If you still decide to drink a small bottle of beer on the beach, you will at least be fined, and in the worst case, you will be taken to jail. Therefore, if this will strain you, then Sharjah is absolutely not for you.

As for the hotel base, it is not very big. There are hotels that are located in the city itself. Which of course is not very convenient, but there are coastal ones. I will talk about the most popular hotels in more detail. Moreover, there are not so many of them.

One of the best hotels in Sharjah, located on the first coastline. At first glance, it may seem somewhat grammatical, but inside, everything is not at all like that. The Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah has a good location, within walking distance there are many shopping centers, good restaurants and cafes. The hotel itself is large, there are rooms, both one-room and two-room. A good option for quiet public and families with children. From the children's infrastructure, the hotel has: two children's pools, a children's menu in the restaurant, a playground. The beach with equipment is owned by the Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah.

Coral Beach Resort 4*

In my opinion, this is the greenest hotel in the emirate of Sharjah, with a very large and well-groomed territory. It is also located on the first coastline, the beach near the hotel is one of the best. I would not say that the hotel is budget, yet it is expensive 4 *, but they are worth the money. The only drawback of Coral Beach Resort 4 * is the lack of balconies in the rooms. Otherwise, there are only solid pluses. It is great to come here with children, the infrastructure for the UAE is very rich: a mini club, water slides, children's pools, a games room, playgrounds and a special menu in the restaurant. The hotel offers its guests not only the standard type of food - "half board", but also "all inclusive".

This hotel is loved by tourists from Russia. Reviews about it vary on the Internet, but I would still characterize it as a solid 4 *. It is located on the first coastline, all equipment on the beach is provided to guests free of charge. A small minus of the Sharjah Grand Hotel is that there are no shops, supermarkets nearby, you must either walk or take a taxi. But due to the fact that many Russians rest here, the hotel has Russian-speaking staff - this is very convenient. People do not come here with children, because there is absolutely no children's infrastructure, which guarantees peace and quiet.
