Ever since I can remember, I have seen light coming from people. “I have loved jazz ever since I can remember. Thor Heyerdahl has been my hero since I can remember.”

Human bioenergy field (AURA) - Edgar Cayce.

Ever since I can remember, I have seen light coming from people. I don't remember a time when my eye didn't notice a slight blue, green or red glow rising from their heads and shoulders. It took a very long time before I realized that other people do not see these colors, and a very long time passed before I heard the word AURA and learned to apply practice to this phenomenon, but this phenomenon was so everyday for me.
I strongly associate all people with auras, I see how friendliness and affection grow over time, since everything: illness, devotion, love, accomplishments, everything is reflected in the aura, and the aura for me is an indicator of the soul. It shows which way the wind of fate blows.
Many people are able to see auras. Many people have experienced the same thing as me. long years not knowing how unusual such an ability is. One woman, my friend and member of this association, told me the following.
“All my childhood I saw colors in connection with people, but did not understand that it was unusual. One day, the appearance of our neighbor seemed somehow strange to me, although I did not immediately understand what was the matter. When I returned home, I suddenly "I realized that I didn't see any flowers around her. A few weeks later, this woman died. So I first encountered what I now consider a natural act of nature."

Aura, undoubtedly reflects the vibrations of the soul. If a person is destined to die, then the soul begins to depart and the aura, accordingly, fades away. In the end, when the connection is only barely held, the break occurs easily. I heard that when people die suddenly, from an accident, the transition is very difficult because they were not prepared.
A person's aura says a lot about him, and when I realized that only a few people see it and that it is very important in a spiritual sense, I began to study the colors of the aura in order to learn to understand their meaning. Over the years, I developed a scheme that I tested from time to time with those who see auras.

It is interesting to note that almost all of our observations coincided. Disagreement arose only regarding the colors contained in our own auras. This is interesting because it shows how universal the laws of nature are. It is known that opposites attract and similarities repel. Because my aura contains a lot of blue, my interpretation of this color differs from the opinion of a person whose aura does not contain it and who can therefore judge more objectively. One of my friends has a lot of green in her aura, and she usually doesn’t like it. green color in the auras of others, she disapproves of him, whereas this color is the color of purification and is a very good sign.
Sometimes in books devoted to occult sciences, I came across descriptions of colors and, as a rule, they coincided with the conclusions that I came to from my observations. However, the interpretation of each specific aura is an art that is acquired over many years of continuous observation and endless trial and error. The mixing of colors, their ratio, the predominance of one over the other - all this must be taken into account before making a judgment. I usually “interpret” people I know better than people I don’t know, although some General characteristics strangers immediately catches my eye.
But in important cases I prefer to know the person. Here I can tell him when I see the flickering lights of success and achievement and warn him if he is in danger of despondency or illness.
Of course, I don't do this for money, I would never do such a thing. I am confident that I have an ability that all people will someday have, and I want to do everything in my power to get people used to this idea, so that they always remember about auras and would like to see them.
I was told that with the appropriate equipment, everyone can see auras. There are special instruments for this, and I once met a professor who claimed that in his laboratory he not only saw auras, but measured and weighed them (Edgar Cayce died in 1945 - translator's note).
In his wonderful book “Pain, Sex and Time,” Gerald Hurd, speaking about various signs of the evolution of consciousness, points out that our ability to see colors is progressing. The easiest way to recognize is to see, as you know, the color red. Light at this end of the spectrum has a longer wavelength. On the other hand, where blue turns into violet and purple, the waves are short. Hurd, who is a well-respected scientist, argues that our ability to see blue is a recent acquisition.
The population living on the banks of the Blue Nile call this river differently. If you translate their name, it will mean “brown”.
Homer describes color throughout the Illiad and Odyssey Mediterranean Sea"dark as wine." Homer, according to Hurd, undoubtedly caught "a slight touch of red in the lilac tone of the Mediterranean," but did not see the dominant blue. Moreover, Aristotle argued that there are only THREE colors in the rainbow: red, yellow and green.
We know that the prospect appeared in fine arts recently and some primitive peoples are not yet able to see it. Researchers on individual Pacific islands found that natives watching the movie saw nothing but a flat surface - their eyes could not give three-dimensionality to the image.
Thus, it seems that the capabilities of our vision are increasing. Many have noticed that among civilized peoples, the majority of the population wears glasses. This is considered bad. Could this be the result of our /constant/ efforts to see more and move to the next stage of evolution? I think this is the case, and someday it will be recognized.
The Japanese, for example, until recently were at the level of the Middle Ages, and in their desire to see everything that we already perceive, they strained their eyesight so much that now everyone /almost/ wears glasses.
What does it mean to move to the next level of evolution? This means the ability to see auras. What will this give? Instead of answering, I'm going to tell you two episodes from the life of a friend of mine who sees auras. This friend - a woman - told me the following: "If anyone, be it completely stranger or a close friend or family member is about to tell me a lie or just avoid a direct and frank answer to my question, I immediately see a horizontal stripe of lemon yellow flash directly above his head. I call it "gas green" and it has consistently served me as a sign of evasiveness and lies. I was a teacher for many years and students were always amazed at my ability to catch them at the slightest deviation from the truth."
Just imagine what it means - anyone will see if you are going to tell a lie, even the most innocent one.
We will always have to be sincere, since deception will simply be impossible!

And now I will give another story of hers:
“Once in a big city I went to a department store. I was on the sixth floor and called the elevator. While I was waiting for it, I noticed bright red sweaters and thought it would be nice to look at them. But the elevator had already been called and when the doors opened, I stepped forward to get in. The elevator was almost full, and suddenly something pushed me away. The brightly lit cabin seemed dark to me. Something was wrong. Not yet realizing what I was doing, I told the elevator operator: “Go " - and stepped back. I went to look at the sweaters and only then realized what had struck me so unpleasantly: THE PEOPLE IN THE ELEVATOR DID NOT HAVE AURAS.
While I was looking at the sweaters, which attracted me with their bright red color, the color of strength and energy, the elevator cable broke - the cabin fell to the bottom and all the passengers were killed."
Now it is clear to you what role the ability to see auras will play when it becomes common property. The danger of disaster, accidents, death cannot creep up unexpectedly. You will see them ahead of time, and like the seers of the past, you will know in advance and correctly meet your death, understanding its true meaning.
It is difficult to imagine a world where everyone sees those around them, their shortcomings, virtues, weaknesses and strengths of nature, illnesses, impending misfortunes or success. We will understand that others also see us, and we will completely change our essence, since how many vices will remain with us if all of them are known to everyone?
And one more digression about our future possibilities before we return to the more prosaic present. Another friend of mine who sees auras told me the following:
“When I talk to a person and he expresses an opinion formed in one of his past lives, I see in his aura a figure that is a reflection of who he was at that period - I see, say, a Greek or Egyptian figure: in a word, anyone, whoever he is. As soon as the conversation moves on to another topic and the point of view formed in this incarnation is no longer required, the figure disappears. Then he says something else. For example, he states: “I always liked Italy and I would like to go there,” and while he is talking, I see the figure of a Renaissance man and an ancient Roman.
During one such conversation I can see six to eight figures.
What is this if not the “book of Incarnations”, only without explanations and instructions? This sounds so strange that I was very skeptical about what I heard, until one day, at dusk, sitting on my friend’s porch, I saw something similar myself. My friend was enthusiastically explaining something about English history to a group of people. In his aura I saw the figure of a young monk and remembered that among the “interpreted” incarnations of my friend there was an English monk.
"What good are most people's auras if they can't see them anyway?" - you ask. I think most people see them, they just don't realize it. It seems to me that you can always roughly determine the aura if you notice what colors he usually prefers in the interior.
How many times have you said about a woman: “Why is she wearing this color? It doesn’t suit her at all!” How many times have we said, "How wonderful she looks in that dress. It's just her color. She's just made for it." In both this and other cases, you talked about auras. For the first woman, the color was disharmonious with her aura. The second one went well with the aura.
You all know what colors suit your friend and make him more interesting. These are all colors that have the same wavelength as his aura and thus make it more intense and brighter. If you observe longer, you will even notice changes in your friend, because... they will be reflected in the color of their preferred clothing.
Let me give you an example of how the health status of a person who has preferred blue since childhood changed - I often saw him in blue suits, blue ties and even blue socks. One day he went to the store to buy a tie. He himself was surprised to find that he had selected several maroon ties, and he was even more surprised when over time he began to prefer shirts with red stripes, and ties and handkerchiefs in various shades of scarlet. This continued for several years, during which he became increasingly nervous and depressed. He worked too much and eventually developed a nervous breakdown.
All this time, the amount of red color was increasing in his aura. Now gray - the color of the disease began to penetrate into the red, but when he finally recovered, the gray color disappeared, and then the blue began to overcome the red. Finally, the red one was defeated and the man completely came to his senses.
Never again did he wear red, scarlet, or burgundy.
In another case, a woman who dresses in green or yellow decided to buy a dress from a store that she has been using for many years. The hostess brought her several dresses, but seemed puzzled as she helped her try on the dresses. “I don’t know what it is,” said the hostess, “but it requires something red or pink. I would never have thought that you could wear these colors, but they somehow suggest themselves now.” In the end, the woman bought a dress with red stripes. A month later she was admitted to the hospital with a nervous disease. She recovered and continued to use the same store, but the owner never offered her red or pink flowers again.

Thor Heyerdahl has been my hero since I can remember.

Thorgeir Severud Hygraff is a Norwegian journalist, the main organizer and leader of the Tangaroa expedition in 2006. The expedition raft, built, like the famous Kon-Tiki, in Callao, a suburb of Lima, the capital of Peru, from balsa wood, went out into the ocean, like Kon-Tiki on April 28 and 31 days earlier than Kon-Tiki, arrived at the Polynesian island Raroia. The book Thorgeir wrote about the expedition has been translated into Danish, Swedish and Finnish. The film received the prize “For Best Cinematography” at the Moscow Film Festival “Vertical” in 2007.

We asked Thorgeir to talk about the expedition and its preparation.

"Tangaroa" - god of the seas. Overcoming boundaries

Thor Heyerdahl has always been my hero since I can remember. His fame began with his journey through Pacific Ocean on a primitive balsa raft named after the Inca sun god “Kon-Tiki”.

Heyerdahl's diaries, which he kept at Kon-Tiki, were never published, but I could not only get acquainted with them at the Kon-Tiki Museum in Oslo, but also study them. Heyerdahl paid a lot of attention to detail. For example, he documented the number and types of flying fish they found on deck each morning, the types of birds and number of sharks they encountered in the ocean, and made extensive notes on the preparations for the voyage. Only once did I have the opportunity to meet my hero in person. It was at the end of 2000 in Oslo, but, of course, the idea for the project, which we called “Tangaroa” - the god of the seas, was inspired by Kon-Tiki.

Our expedition had two goals: 1) testing the “guaras” navigation system - boards that, when lowered between the logs of the raft, act as rudders; 2) analysis of ocean pollution at the molecular level.

Our use of "guaras" on Tangaroa was based on observations Heyerdahl made after the completion of the Kon-Tiki expedition. In 1953, Tour conducted experiments in Ecuador with a small raft, using the "guaras" to understand how the mechanism worked. He wrote about the ease of control of these boards in his books, including " Ancient man and the ocean" in 1978.

Our second, and perhaps main, task was to determine the degree of pollution of ocean water. On board the raft there was equipment with which samples of ocean water and bile of caught fish were collected. We were interested in discovering what is often called “hidden contamination.” This is an often not mentioned oil film and plastic trash, and antibiotics and hormones, which, spread by water, lead to mutations of organisms and the inability of species to reproduce.

The received materials, by agreement, were sent for study to : 1) Biosense (Norway); 2) Veterinary Institute (Norway); 3) University of Zurich (Switzerland); 4) University of Bergen (Norway); 5) Water Inverstigations (Sweden). We hoped that our analyzes would help scientists clarify questions of biology.

"Tangaroa" was made of 11 large balsa logs, ranging from 80 to 100 cm in diameter, eight smaller logs served as cross beams, on top of which a platform was formed. The longest middle log was 17 m long. The logs at the edges were 14 m long. All together they weighed just over 20 tons. If an ordinary sailing ship receives minor damage to the hull, it may sink. A balsa raft can lose two-thirds of its hull and still keep its crew and cargo afloat.

Tangaroa is not the only ship that took its cue from the 1947 Kon-Tiki expedition. In reality, there were at least 40 others (rafts, reed boats and canoes) according to Peter Capelotti, who explored the topic in his book Sea Drift. Rafting along the Kon-Tiki trail. He described several such journeys in detail. Most of these experiments avoided serious problems. Some were so poorly conceived that we might call them irresponsible. Mostly serious problems happened to the crew if someone fell overboard, fell ill, was injured, or was in danger of death. There were several teams whose members had so much hostility towards each other that they endangered the voyage. For example, during the last experiment conducted by John Haslett, one of the members caused problems for the team because the organizers did not give the team members enough time to get to know each other, and this turned out to be a bad decision. Despite this, their story later became the basis for exciting reading. Haslett also had problems with the shipworm (" teredo naxalis "). Within three weeks the raft was attacked and eaten away by worms that lived in the logs. In my opinion, Vital Alsar's voyage to La Balsa in 1970 was one of the best results of the team's work at sea. Elsar built a fairly small raft (4 logs) and sailed between Ecuador and Australia. Compared to Tangaroa, La Balsa was small and extremely light raft. The wind and waves tossed it, while on our big raft, we slept like angels. The four members of La Balsa's crew were really tough guys. The storm battered their raft so much that one of the crew members lost consciousness from the blow Fortunately, they did not lose anyone at sea and it is commendable that they did not give up.Another risky experiment was Tahiti Nui, led by 66-year-old Eric de Bishop in 1958. At the end of this heartbreakingly long voyage, an exhausted Bishop died after hitting the reef rocks I think if you are serious about presenting your project, and especially if you love your family, then expeditions like Tahiti Nui or La Balsa are too risky for you.

Hopefully the Tangaroa experiment set the team's safety standards for future expeditions, but it was an expensive project, costing around $800,000.

If Heyerdahl were still with us, he might have been surprised at our use of the guaras, the large sail with which we arrived in Polynesia 31 days earlier than he could. I think he would be curious about the similarities we have discovered between Viking ship technology and balsa raft technology. I think that he could have asked us questions, but the questions were not asked, because in 2006 Heyerdahl was no longer with us for four years, but when going on any trip, we remember his words:

“Borders? I haven't seen one, but I've heard they exist in in the minds of many people."

» is launching a series of materials for jazz lovers: about jazz, new jazz albums and concerts in Moscow.

Lorraine Gordon passed away on June 9. She was 95. A great woman. This may be the first time you've heard this name, but Lorraine Gordon has been a fulcrum for American jazz for many years. Armstrong, Monk, Evans, Davis, Coltrane, Marsalis, Lovano, Glasper - Gordon brought together the great names of different eras. Take Gordon away and an irreparable void will form in jazz history.

"I've loved jazz ever since I can remember. I don't know why. I never asked myself about it. I just liked jazz and that's it," Gordon said in an interview.

Since childhood, she was a member of the New York jazz formation "New Ark Hot Club" and collected records. At the age of nineteen, she married the founder of the Blue Note label, Alfred Lion, and helped him run his business: she did accounting, selected the best compositions for recording, and promoted new artists. Thelonious Monk's first engagement with the Village Vanguard was her doing.

In 1950, Gordon separated from Lyon and married a second time, to Village Vanguard club owner Max Gordon. At that time, Vanguard was not a jazz club - beat poets and folk singers regularly performed on the club's stage. Lorraine's passion for jazz greatly influenced her husband, and within seven years the club switched to jazz music. For half a century, Lorraine helped her husband develop the club and make the Village Vanguard a symbol of jazz. Along the way, Gordon became interested in politics, participated in the “Women Strike For Peace” movement, and sought to stop Vietnam War, and in 1965 she made a secret trip to Hanoi through the Soviet Union.

Max Gordon died in 1989, the Village Vanguard closed for one evening, but reopened the next day. Lorraine Gordon took over the management of the club: “Max never asked me to manage Vanguard after his death, he didn’t ask anyone for anything. But I decided to continue. I wasn’t afraid. I didn’t lose heart and threw myself into this pool headlong.” . Lorraine Gordon was 65 at the time.

Over the next thirty years, Village Vanguard has miraculously managed to avoid formats and templates - it is still a small basement with oil-painted walls, a distinct smell of dampness, a cramped room with small tables. There is no food at Village Vanguard - only a sizable bar menu. No design, no trends, no “attention to the client”—jazz doesn’t owe anyone anything. But in Vanguard the best sound in the world and the inquisitive listener will be fully rewarded. Jazzmen value club acoustics above all else, taking week-long sessions of two performances per evening, and then writing material. "Live At The Village Vanguard" - there are more than a hundred records with this name, at least a dozen of which are great.

Greetings to all who stopped by!

I think it's a postscript "based on real events" attracts many viewers and filmmakers use this without a twinge of conscience in order to interest more people. But in the end it turns out that these same " real events“In the film, if you get 20 percent, then that’s good!

Looking ahead, I’ll say that after watching I read true story and the film is truly woven from many facts and genuine eyewitness accounts of this daring scam!

The story they tell us real people, including Frédéric Bourdain himself.

Looking at him, you involuntarily ask yourself: is this the look of a crazy person or a very good actor? The confusion of an abandoned child is immediately replaced by the mask of a dangerous, brilliant criminal!

I came across the description of the film "The Impostor" by chance and in anticipation interesting story I couldn't pass by!

Frédéric Bourdain: a virtuoso impostor and master of deception who changed his identity at least 39 times.

An FBI agent and a private detective are trying to expose the fraudster Bourdain, but they are faced with much darker secrets. After all, every lie has two truths!

In 1994, 13-year-old teenager Nicholas Barkley disappeared in the United States; after a long search, the family managed to come to terms with their grief, when suddenly, three years later, Nick himself called and said that he wanted to go home!

In Spain, on a rainy night, police found a hunted, frightened teenager in a telephone booth. Could they have imagined that this was one of Interpol's most wanted criminals?

This story will tell us how overnight a 23-year-old brown-eyed brunette turned into a missing 16-year-old American teenager with blond hair and eyes! Agree, very intriguing?

The film was shot in the form of a documentary diary, where Frederick himself tells us the whole chain of exciting events, shares his thoughts and experiences. This is not an action movie or a detective story, where events replace each other with lightning speed; there are a lot of subtle psychological moments that, like pieces of a puzzle, come together in the smallest fragments into a large, holistic picture!

Already at such a young age, Frederick shows himself to be an expert in human psychology, which allows him to skillfully manipulate those around him like puppets!

The director allows all participants in the story to speak, which creates even greater realism, it seems as if you are watching an interview or operational filming

When Frederick manages to take Nick's place, he experiences joyful euphoria, no remorse! There is only him and his game!

Frederic-Nicholas's story is engrossing from beginning to end! From the first minutes of the film you ask the question: “Will he really succeed?”

And when you realize that the character really existed, you watch with even more interest!

Of course, I won’t reveal all my cards, I’ll just say that another discovery awaits Frederic, which simply cannot fit into my head! It is very interesting to listen to the revelations of an FBI agent and a private detective, they are also taken from a real case.

Excerpt from a real interview with an agent:

“He clearly knew a lot about such matters,” the agent concluded. – Normal person can't come up with such nightmarish details.

He was either a real victim of violence or he was an amazing actor."

Frederic Bourdain had a difficult childhood; for his mother he was an unwanted child, which resulted in great psychological trauma. He felt enormous self-compassion and by any means went towards his goal “to be desired and loved”
