Kulirka: what kind of fabric, what is it made of?

Knitwear in structure consists of many microscopic loops that are connected in various ways. Thanks to this structure, such qualities as plasticity and relative extensibility are achieved. One type of product is a cooler. What kind of fabric and what its properties are known to many housewives.

Cooler fabric: description

Culinary fabric is an elementary variety of knitwear, in which the loops of one row are connected in series.

Thanks to high-quality raw materials and weaving technology, a whole range of different products can be produced from this fabric:

  • Skirts;
  • Mikey;
  • T-shirts;
  • Underwear;
  • Bedspreads;
  • shirts;
  • Shorts and breeches.

The density of the fabric ranges from 150 to 200. Vertical stripes are clearly visible on the outside. On the reverse side, there is a pronounced cellularity. The material is perfectly stretched horizontally, but remains the same vertically.

As for the visual qualities, they are also on top: the shine of the cooler is like silk (obviously, these are the consequences of careful polishing). This quality also has a very practical meaning: durability is significantly increased.

The excellent characteristics of knitwear allow the human skin to constantly breathe: the movement of air is absolutely free and not constrained by anything. Feels like knitwear makes you feel airy and light.

Kulirka fabric: what is it, composition

This garment industry product is made from the following materials:

  • Cotton. This is the most commonly used type of raw material for knitwear. It is thanks to this material that its quality has become a byword. Lightness, the effect of "conditioning" the skin - these are all the merits of high-quality cotton products.
  • Polyurethane. If this material is added during production (sometimes its share can reach up to a third), then clothes made from it will differ in increased elasticity and durability. In addition, thanks to polyurethane, the fabric almost never discolors - neither under the influence of the hot scorching sun, nor after a series of washes. Most importantly, this jersey is hypoallergenic. However, after the first water treatment, such a cooler sits down.
  • Polyester. This substance is usually added to cotton along with polyurethanes. Thanks to this, it is possible to avoid a significant reduction in size after washing. The density of the fabric is very high. The brightness of the color remains for many years of service. However, it is quite hard to the touch and very weakly absorbs moisture. Therefore, the price tag for such a cooler is quite low.

Other materials can also be added to the composition, which can give properties of increased strength, ductility, etc. However, it is better if the proportion of impurities is no more than 5-10%. And if possible, you need to purchase products labeled " 100% cotton».

Yarn from this material

The following types of yarn are used for the cooler:

  • Fiber up to 80 cm long. In terms of price, this product can be safely considered an elite one: the raw materials are very expensive and of high quality. Clothing made using this fiber is distinguished by its outstanding ability to keep its shape for several years of wear. Grinding is included in the mandatory "gentleman's kit" in the manufacture of fiber. The cheapest type of material is white, the price of which reaches several hundred rubles.
  • Yarn 2.7-3.5 cm long. An order of magnitude worse than the previous one. It stretches quickly, requires careful washing and careful wearing. The price is almost two times lower compared to long fiber.
  • Yarn up to 2.7 cm long. The most democratic of all coolers. In its manufacture, the remains of the production of the first two types are used. Creases are formed in a few seconds. The form is practically not preserved. This material is usually used for tailoring extremely cheap clothes or for underwear of low cost.

The benefits of a cooler

Consumer qualities of the cooler are quite high:

  • Thanks to the technology of thin weaving, a high density of the material is achieved. Thus, the fabric has two excellent properties at once: lightness and the highest resistance to mechanical stress.
  • The ability to keep the shape for a long time. First of all, products made entirely of cotton have this quality. Clothes can be folded in the closet without fear, bent, etc. As a rule, they may not even be ironed.
  • The kulirka stretches well in width, but not in length. That is why it is so comfortable to put on, but it does not wear out.
  • Withstands multiple washes (this applies to expensive options).
  • The material perfectly absorbs atmospheric moisture.
  • The skin under such clothes breathes even in the hottest weather: the fabric lets air through.
  • As for the price, but it can be very different. Of course, it is better not to save on your appearance and quality of clothing. Especially if it is intended for the smallest inhabitants of the house.

Baby clothes

There is no doubt that every parent cares about their children. One of the most important aspects of parental care is the high comfort of the clothes in which the baby walks. And culinary fabric is the best suited for such purposes:

  • A wide selection of clothes for every budget and taste;
  • The ability to wash an almost unlimited number of times in a row;
  • A variety of styles and colors that will appeal to children;
  • The excellent qualities of the fabric make it extremely resistant to the constant action of external factors;
  • Widespread: for the sake of a cooler, you don’t have to go to another city. There are shops with such products on almost every corner. In addition, you can contact the atelier, where a costume for a child will be sewn in a short time.

If you are looking for a fabric that would allow the skin to "breathe", did not shrink after the first wash, and retained its color for many years - then your choice is a cooler. What kind of fabric is produced with such characteristics, we told in this article. Now you do not have to make a hole in the family budget - this is another plus.
