Waistcoat fabric - what is it: the composition of the woven surface

Reading time: 6 minutes

Knitwear is, first of all, not the name of the fabric, but a characteristic of the weave. It can be a natural-based material or with the addition of artificial fibers. It can stretch perfectly or be quite dense and not elastic. Cooler material – what kind of fabric is it? Kulina stitch is a type of knitted weave. This fabric is quite light and thin.

What is it: description, composition

This is the thinnest knitted fabric. Its base is pure cotton, but synthetic fibers, such as lycra, can be added to the composition for elasticity. This does not in any way worsen the original characteristics of the product, but expands the scope of use of the material. The permissible percentage of artificial “impurities” should not exceed 10 percent.

The satin stitch is the simplest weave. The front and back sides are different. There are “pigtails” on the outside and “brickwork” on the inside. The satin stitch is the main weave and can serve as a basis for other options. The front side is a little shiny, as it consists of “sticks” that do not scatter light so much. It is formed by longitudinal vertical columns. The reverse side is formed by curved arcs. It is soft to the touch, but a little rough.

The weave stitch is considered one of the main weaves. Their peculiarity is that all loops have the same shape and size.

What material is the cooler?

This is a knitwear that belongs to the cross-knitted type. It is formed from one thread arranged in one system. The loops of this knitwear are straight. It can easily open both horizontally and vertically. In the transverse direction, such products stretch quite well. The material retains its original shape for a long time, even with intensive use.

Production

Kulirny stitch is a fairly simple weave. The resulting canvas is double-sided. The outer side is formed by knit stitches, the inner side by purl loops. A horizontal row of loops is called a loop row, a vertical row is called a loop column.

The satin surface serves as the basis for other patterned and derivative compounds. It has a rather heterogeneous structure and curlability. It is also called stocking stitch.

Knitwear is created in two ways:

  • Manual;
  • Machine.

When knitting, the loops are laid across. They are obtained by bending a single thread. This knitwear is easy to knit either as a single fabric or in separate pieces. On the front side, an even knitting will be visible, the back side will contain the “ears” of the loops.

The kulirka fabric (kulirka satin stitch) is produced by machine on single-font machines. They produce a single version, since there is only one loop layer. Single machines with reed needles are also popular. Let's consider the process of loop formation using their example.

It includes several stages:

  • Conclusion;
  • Laying;
  • Pressing;
  • Carrying out;
  • Application;
  • connection;
  • Cooling;
  • Reset;
  • Formation;
  • Guy.

To form loops, the needles must move up and down, and the plates must be directed toward the center and back. In order for there to be a result, the entire process must be streamlined and consistent. A certain mode is established using special locks.

There is a thread guide on the machine, which is necessary for feeding threads to the needles. In this case, the main part is motionless, but the latter take on the main work. The thread guide and locks ensure a completed knitting cycle.

If there is one system on the machine, then only one row of knitting is formed. However, there are usually several of them installed on locking mechanisms. This is necessary to improve work efficiency. But it is worth remembering that unreasonably many systems can cause downtime due to numerous thread breaks.

Depending on what kind of yarn was used, there are three types of kulirka fabric. This is a culinary smooth surface of pene, carde and open end.

Characteristic

Cooler is a universal material. It is equally good for both dresses and lingerie. Its main advantage is excellent breathability. What is the difference with interlock? The products are light and airy, since, unlike, they are thinner. They are comfortable in the summer, even in extreme heat. In addition, the material absorbs moisture well.

Advantages:

Flaws:

  • May shrink if not properly cared for.

The cooler is simply irreplaceable for the summer heat. This is a universal fabric with many advantages. It is quite simple, but this quality contains many useful characteristics that even expensive representatives of the “textile kingdom” cannot boast of. If you add a little lycra during manufacturing, the result is an elastic fabric that is simply irreplaceable for sewing summer evening dresses. The fabric with lycra used for sewing clothes will perfectly emphasize the advantages of the figure and at the same time will not hinder movements at all.

What do they sew from a cooler?

Knitted material is used to produce various clothes and underwear. It depends on the density of the material being produced. It ranges from 125 to 140 grams/sq.m.
Clothes are designed for summer rather than winter. It allows air to pass through well and is pleasant to the body. Linen made in this way of weaving is suitable even for sensitive skin.

Most often they make things for small children (photo above): diapers, vests, T-shirts, rompers. However, it is also suitable for adults. The cooler makes great things: jumpers, dresses, tunics and skirts. Home clothes made from such knitted fabric are incredibly pleasant to wear. Robes, pajamas, sundresses, T-shirts and tank tops turn out to be very bright, cozy and comfortable. A summer wardrobe will give you a feeling of freshness and coolness even on the hottest summer day.

The nice thing is that the products are absolutely safe and affordable. This makes them incredibly popular both among young mothers and simply people who value comfort in clothing.

Rules of care

Proper care is the main rule for keeping things looking fresh. Compliance with the following points will help your products survive many washes without losing their original beauty:

  • It is better to wash things at a temperature of 30 degrees. This will prevent shrinkage and keep the color fresh;
  • Both hand and machine washable. However, with the latter it is better to stick to the “delicate mode”. If you decide to wash by hand, do not rub the item too hard. This may cause it to become deformed. When washing, it is better to simply wrinkle the item slightly;
  • It is not recommended to wash items made from cotton and synthetic fabrics together. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the appearance of pellets on the products. They can be easily removed using a special machine, but it is better to prevent this than to think about how to remove the consequences;
  • When washing, it is not recommended to fill the washing machine more than halfway. This volume is necessary for effective washing. If the machine is completely filled, then not all products will be able to fully “straighten out” and receive the necessary “dose” of detergent;
  • It is necessary to use non-aggressive detergents. This will prevent premature wear of the fabric;
  • When rinsing, it is better to use conditioner. It will give things softness and allow the fabric to quickly recover after washing;
  • It is better to remove stains in advance. This method is considered the most effective and efficient;
  • Products made from kulirka do not wrinkle much, so ironing is not necessary. But if this manipulation is necessary, then you need to set the average temperature on the iron;
  • Since products made from stockinette do not stretch wide, vertical drying can also be used. However, as with all knitwear, it is recommended to stick to a horizontal position;
  • Although things are not subject to strong fading, it is not recommended to dry them under the scorching rays of the sun. This rule will help maintain the original fresh color for a long time.

Undoubtedly, the appearance of a thing depends on the person who wears it. However, no one has yet canceled the rules of care. Clothes made from kulir stitch are very light and airy. It is beautiful, comfortable and practical. If you are choosing the first summer clothes for your baby, then it is better to pay attention to the options for this particular type!
