Think in advance about how to return your lost phone

This article is not about how to return a lost phone, but about what can be done to make it easier to return it. And we will talk about the human factor.

A modern phone, whether it's Android or iOS or another operating system, stores a lot of personal data. And phone owners want to protect this data from strangers. To do this, users use different methods to block access to the phone - pattern, PIN code, password and others. For example, I use a pattern to lock the screen.

But if suddenly the phone is lost, then there are 2 options:

  • the person who found the phone will not return it
  • the man decided to return the phone he found

If they want to return the lost phone

Let's say the finder wants to return the phone???? But the phone is locked and a person cannot call someone from your address book and find out how to find the owner, he can only wait until the owner or someone he knows calls his number.

And if the phone’s battery is dead and a PIN code is set to access the SIM card, then you won’t be able to get through after recharging and turning on the phone

But you can make the process of returning a lost phone easier by adding a message on the lock screen about how to contact the owner. It will take a couple of minutes, but it can save time and nerves in the future. This message will look something like this:

In order to add a message for the person who found the lost phone, you need to go to “ Settings", paragraph " Safety", in it we go to " Owner information" and in it you need to activate the item " Show owner details on lock screen" and you need to enter the text that you want to be displayed on the phone screen.

For example " You found my phone number, call me at +789456123"or any other, perhaps you can come up with a text that will force the person who finds your lost phone to call the owner at that very moment????

Lost your phone and didn't get it back?

For those who have lost their phone and don’t know what to do - if several hours have passed and no one has contacted you, then contact law enforcement agencies (police, police, etc.), there is a high probability that your phone will be found.
