How to brew rose hips?

There are several options for making jam:

Prepare the syrup - dissolve sugar in hot water, boil for several minutes, then pour rosehip into the hot syrup and leave to steep for a day. After this, pour the syrup into a separate container and boil and place the fruits in it again, let it brew for another 5-6 hours. After this, put the jam on the fire and simmer over low heat until the fruits become transparent. Place the cooled jam in sterilized dry jars and roll up, store in a cool, dark place.

  • rose hips 2 kg, sugar 1 kg, water - 300-400 ml

Cover the peeled and well-washed rose hips with sugar, add water and put on fire and boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly and removing the foam. Then remove the jam from the heat and let it brew for 6 - 10 hours at room temperature, then repeat the process two more times (boil and let it brew), after the third boiling, put the hot jam into sterilized jars and roll up, store in a cool place.

Rose hip drink

Rose hips can be chopped or left whole before cooking. As already mentioned, rose hips contain a large amount of vitamin C, which is destroyed in light, so it is better to choose an opaque container (thermos) to prepare the drink.
